i'm a blonde/blue eyed 56 yr. old white woman. live in the seattle area. ty was your most versatile contestant. great voice, stage presence, best attitude and a team player, while also being a leader. i feel he was let go because of his race, his hair, and because he smiled too much. jd gets away with the ''bad boy'' image and gives the appearance he is ''terminally unique.'' ty worked his butt off and helped others. and wrote songs.!! bring ty back [if he will come back after all the hollywood/int'l. offers he gets, which will economically compete with inxss] and let him compete again. ty can do any kind of music, and do it the best. he did not deserve the lack of respect he received for being ''a complete package''. i for one will not be watching the rest of this series on tv. lost me when ty one of the best 2 or 3 singers was let go. bring ty back soon or inxss, in my opinion, will just be a band of old men, out of touch with what music purchasing public wants. VERSATILITY! if inxss wants to go down in history as a great band, [have they ever heard of the beattles, beegee's, rolling stones?], they will not be afraid to reach out and do some new, non-monotonous music. these are meant to be suggestions only. kk

I just wanted to let you know (assuming you read this) that your elimination today left me heartbroken and your spirit will be greatly missed on the show. However, I know that there are
wonderful things waiting around the bend for you. You are an incredible singer, a
magical performer, and a beautiful spirit. If this wasn't meant to be for you, have
no doubt that something equally good or better is waiting to find you. Never lose hope.

It is my experience that people who play the race card typically have their own preset notion of people different than themselves. In other words they themselves are racists. I think Ty's comments tonight were very hurtful to fans of the show. Just because we didn't think he was right for INXS does not mean we didn't think he was a great person and talented. However now Ty has dysplayed that he is not a graceful loser - maybe he thinks we should recount the hanging chads - oops I meant the votes.

I've been watching this show now for the past few weeks. It's great and I love it. Ty is a great singer, but not for INXS. It's true, he is a soulful perfomer, but I don't think of soul when I think of INXS. I can't believe he used the race card. The stegosaurus look -- yes I did see -- but not the color of his skin.

Ty, it's a shame to see you go. What you said tonight was something I've been telling my wife for the past 3 weeks. Anyone who denies it is lying to themselves. If Jimi Hendrix came back from the dead a young man, He'd get no respect from the public, only the pro's who know better. And this is from a fan who's actually rooting for Jordis. You've gotten better every week, while the ridiculous JD has gotten consistently worse, yet he keeps getting a by. Come out with something that rocks man, and I'll buy it. (But I'm still rooting for Jordis).

Ty I think it was a great injustice for you to be gone. While I personally can not say your right for INXS my wife and I feel you were the best male performer of the bunch. We also feel that racisim was a factor because on sheer talent you blow them all away especially JD. By the way we are two die hard rockers who cant wait to here your new band I know someone is going to sign you.
